DIY: The Kitchen

So... we've begun. We've begun redoing the kitchen. I came home from swimming lessons with Jack on Saturday morning (which was like a 40 minute water aerobics class for me) to find Stephen stripping off our hideous green wallpaper. I mean it's a good thing... but once you start, you can't stop. And we haven't stopped.

So we went from this...


to this... after about 12 hours of using the steamer to strip the paper off!




Whomever put this up did not want this to ever fall down. There was so much paste on the paper and the walls that we had to go get a paste-remover to use on the walls after the paper came down so that when we paint we don't have rough spots.
